There's nothing to do
Except make pizza's all day
I can't wait to move
Down the river road
the only beauty is found
In this humdrum town
Curling in Plattsville
Is my favourite hobby
I am an Allstar
Old crotchety man
Owns a hefty load of cats
I think he is dead
Smoke weed er'y day
Is what the stoners would say
I ... do not agree.
Sketchy abandoned
House that that sells lots of honey
You haunt all my dreams
Enter the garage
Greasy fingers handle sweets
Childhood moments

Traveling Lights.
An Open Window On a Winters Night

I just read this travel writing piece and I would definitely recommend it. Maybe not for the beginning but definitely for the way the author describes the northern lights. The beautiful descriptions truly bring you to that place and make you feel rather whimsical.
I would love a trip here!

Valentines Day
As cynical as I can be sometimes, I do actually like Valentines day. I'm not going to go and get all mooshy and lovely dovey but I think the idea of it is nice. A day of love, a day to stop hating and just tell someone you care for them. I can't see what is wrong with that.
When 'single' people get upset about it, it bothers me. Just because you don't have a significant other doesn't mean you don't care about anyone and it doesn't mean someone doesn't care about you. You have friends and family and pets that all love you. Celebrate with them.
I don't have a partner either and I'm just as happy on this day as a couple that is infatuated with one another.
Love is a wonderful idea, and a day of love is well ... nice

An Open Letter To The Kids
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies—God damn it, you've got to be kind."
-Kurt Vonnegut
Dear Children,
You're at the beginning of your life. You have so much more to look forward to. Don't sweat the small stuff. The things you're dealing with now are little blips on your time line and you'll most likely forget about them as your life goes on.
You are ever changing. From your body, to your thoughts, from your friends and your music taste. Like things as they come along but let them go when the time comes. You may think your friends are your world now, but in about 5 years I'll bet you've got new ones. Appreciate them but don't let them control you.
You don't need a boyfriend or girlfriend to make you happy. Yeah sure it's nice, but it's a lot of work as well. And if you somehow stumble upon love in this big big place. I hope you are sincere about it, I hope you don't screw it up and I plead you to cherish it.
You're going to cry ... you're going to cry a lot. you're going to feel like the world is crashing down on you at least a few times in your life. There are going to be bad days in your life, bad months, and bad years. I hope you drag yourself through them and carry on.
This world can be a dark, lonely place. Please, be the light that can guide people through it. Like Kurt Vonnegut said "you've got to be kind". Just ... be good.
Prove me wrong, show me there is still hope for humanity.
With love,
Just another person

A Musical Interpretaion of Life Lessons
Some how, I've gotten this idea that The first 10 songs I listen to on my I-pod when on shuffle are going to reveal something about my life. Sounds legit.
1) Flies all gather around me and you too
2) I'm almost never in the city I was born
3) Whoah and I know a man, he came from my hometown
4) In restless dreams I walked alone
5) Say we can go where we want
6) Hot Patootie bless my soul
7) Oh, it should've been, could've been worse than you would ever know
8) Give a little bit
9) So we'll just sing it for them
10) So don't blink
I chose the first line of the second verse for each song. Because ... yeah
These are some life lessons I apparently need to know...
-I should shower more so I don't attract flies
-I'm busy and should be at home more
-I know people? Stay in touch with friends? maybe
-Must find more friends.
-Travel and be adventurous, because I can
-Watch Rocky Horror more?
-Look on the bright side, everything could be worse
-Be more giving
-Help others
-I'm just screwed...
I'll take those into consideration!

Internet Famous
Being famous is one of those 'you win some you lose some' situations. On one hand your famous! everyone knows your name and appreciate what you do, you have lots of money and are able to do tons of extravagant things and go anywhere you want in the world. But, on the other hand ... you're famous, everyone knows who you are and you have tons of haters and on lookers critiquing every little thing you do. One blemish to your look, personality or image and you're hated by thousands of people. You have nosey people everywhere you go, invading all your personal space. sure you can travel the world, but you'd be bombarded with fans (or haters) everywhere you go.
I love the idea of being remember. It's what I live to achieve and being famous would definitely do that ... but, there are too many cons for me to want that. I think a happy medium would be to be Internet famous, via either YouTube or having a great blog or whatever. something that thousands of people will watch, but no hundreds of thousands.
To have a 'small' community of people gather around you and appreciate what you do sounds fantastic to me.
So now ... to achieve my goal of being Internet famous ... I'm gonna have to start being funny or clever or epic or ... a cat

I Am a Rock
Simon and Garfunkel's I Am a Rock is a song that best describes me and my opinions and my thoughts and well basically everything.
The below that are coloured are the ones that really hit home I suppose
A winter's day
In a deep and dark December;
I am alone,
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow.
I am a rock,
I am an island.
I've built walls,
A fortress deep and mighty,
That none may penetrate. I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain.
It's laughter and it's loving I disdain.
I am a rock,
I am an island.
Don't talk of love,
But I've heard the words before;
It's sleeping in my memory.
I won't disturb the slumber of feelings that have died.
If I never loved I never would have cried.
I am a rock,
I am an island.
I have my books
And my poetry to protect me;
I am shielded in my armor,
Hiding in my room, safe within my womb.
I touch no one and no one touches me. I am a rock,
I am an island.
And a rock feels no pain;
And an island never cries.
I'm not really sure what else to say ... it's a good song, one of my favourites actually.
